About me

I consider myself a European, born in Germany, primary school in Switzerland, highschool in Sweden, University in Germany, lived in Italy for 2 years. In 2011 I was fortunate enough to be around entrepreneurial people as I finished my engineering degree and a side project with my co-founders turned into a business within weeks. Also me: 🏃🎸👾

Since 2011, we’ve successfully raised funding rounds from angels, banks, and VCs and completely failed at it, too. We built a direct sales team and transitioned to a fully online, inbound marketing process. We’ve switched our customer focus from mechanical engineers to hipster creative agencies. We started off wearing shirts and sometimes even suits to the office (honestly 🤦). From being chronically broke to investing 7 figures a year out of our own cash flows, to a successful Exit to private equity, to quickly building our second company together — it has been something of a 15-year-journey. As a business angel I try to share everything I learned along the way.
